Easy Mail Merge is an Outlook add-in designed to personalize, schedule and send mass emails from Outlook. This Frequently Asked Questions section was composed using the most popular questions that our users asked us over time.
To personalize the content of each message using the fields you’ve imported, Easy Mail Merge uses a variable text delimiter. Variable text (that is going to be personalized on each email) is defined using the ^ character. Please make sure you are NOT using this character on your email content (text, links, etc), otherwise Easy Mail Merge will misinterpret it as a variable field and it will trigger the above error because that field is not found in the imported mail merge data.
Please make sure you are not using Microsoft Word as the email editor for Outlook messages. To switch to the Outlook internal email editor, please go to your Outlook Options menu -> Mail Settings -> uncheck the option to use MS Word as the email editor.
If you notice that ALL outgoing mass emails are being quickly returned as undeliverable, then most likely you have hit the maximum limit of emails allowed by your mail server provider. You have to correctly configure your Easy Mail Merge send limit, so you don’t send too many emails too fast. The Easy Mail Merge TRIAL version limits you to maximum 10 emails per session. The licensed version does not have any limit. The only limit is the one enforced by your mail server provider. In order to avoid having your messages rejected, you have to make sure you are not exceeding this limit. If your mail server does not have such a limit, you can send as many mass emails as you wish to.
Yes, you can use the Pause/Resume options available in the Easy Mail Merge sessions log. To access this log, click on the View Sessions button from the Easy Mail Merge main toolbar. When you are ready to send the messages again, you can use the Resume button.
You can only use the sender addresses defined in your Outlook profile, as email accounts.
The latest Easy Mail Merge version is 18.104.22.168. You can always check for updates by using the updates button available from your main Easy Mail Merge toolbar.
